FM15: Spartans FC Update – 2025/2026 Summer Transfers & changes

When the 2025/2026 pre-season started I received two great news – Spartans board announced that the club will build a new stadium with a capacity of 20,438. The second good news is that club is able to upgrade Youth Facilities and this project will be financed without any external funding.

The new “Spartans Stadium” will cost around £35,5M, although this figure will be offset by the £825K the club will receive by selling Ainslie Park. The Board have secured a loan of £34,87M to help finance the stadium project. Additional funding for the project has been secured with a stadium sponsorship deal worth £17,85M. The new stadium will be be finished in June 2027. Continue reading

FM15: The Story about Random “Regen”

Football Manager, for me, is not a game in which I play for big clubs and buy expensive players and worlwide stars for many years. Just conversely. I love games with small clubs with which I try to move as high as it goes. I’m trying to build a club with young promising players. With players from own academy. I try to educate them and possibly profit from their sales.

In Football Manager 2015 I play for Scottish club Spartans FC. The main idea from the beginning of the game is to build a strong academy from which players will move to Senior squad. As many as possible.

And this is the story about one of them. The story of which I have always the greatest joy. The story about a young player who has not played even for the Under 20 team, but gradually worked his way up to the national team. The story about defender Gregor Smyth. Continue reading

FM15: Spartans FC Save Story Update 2024/2025: Three trophies & Europa League Semi Final

Nineteen matches – 45 points & 8 points ahead of Celtic. That was our „starting position“ in January before the second part of the 2024/2025 season. We have very demanding schedule because we played the SPL, FA Cup, League Cup & Europa League. And it’s crazy but we won three domestic competitions again. And what about Europa League? A great succes thanks to the participation in Semi Final. Continue reading

FM15: Spartans FC Save Story Update: 2024/2025 Winter Transfers

After a very good first part of the season was the turn of winter Transfer deadline. We needed to strengthen several positions, especially in midfield.

Finally, we brought in four new players. Goalkeeper Aidan Kehoe, midfielders Dylan McMahon and Ian Milne and striker Brian McShane. He is the best goalscorer in this season and we bought him from Partick Thistle from just £1M. They really need money, I’d never sell him at such a ridiculous amount. He will be a great player for us with cooperation with Graham Paterson. Continue reading

FM15: Spartans FC Save Story Update – 2024/2025 season part II. On the way to the second league title in a row

We started new campaign very good. We reached the Champions League Group stage and earned very needed amount of money thanks to it. After the first Scottish Premier League title in the previous season we have only one goal for the next season – retain the league title!

And we started the new league season in the best way with the huge 4-1 win against Celtic thanks to a four goals by Darren O’Brien. Spartans FC defeated St. Mirren and Aberdeen after that but only tied with Ross Country. First defeat of the season we have seen in the struggle against Motherwell and we lost also with Kilmarnock. FM15: Spartans FC Save Story Update – 2024/2025 season part I.

Some time ago you could read on my blog a summary of the previous ten years, during which the Spartans FC advanced from the Lowland Football League to the Scottish Premier League. In the last season (2023/2024) we won the Premier League & FA Cup & League Cup. You can read about it HERE

Now is the time to look a bit further into the next season. France won the European Championship in 2024 after a 6-1 win over Belgium in the final – SCREEN. A few days after the last match of previous season the board have announced plans to enlarge the stadium by 2,000 seats and they have secured a loan of 2,25M to help finance the stadium project. This expansion will take around 9 months to complete and Spartans will play at Easter Road Stadium together with Hiberninan. Continue reading
